We know that Hurricane Ernesto has continued to weaken, no serious damage was done in Guatemala. Now we are watching a tropical depression that will follow the same path as Ernesto. Known as TP7 right now, his name will be Gordon upon further strengthening.
Last night Nellie Maldonado arrived in Houston. Nellie is one of our team members and she lives in San Jose California. We got acquainted over some Mexican food and we got to know one another better. Nellie is going to be a great team member and she is bilingual. That will help a lot since the team will be divided for construction work in two places in Piedras Azules. Nellie can help at one site and our dear friend and frequent missionary, Cindy Dube can be at the other. I'm always surprised by how well we can communicate despite the language barrier but it always helps to have someone like Nellie and Cindy to make sure we haven't embarrassed ourselves. Tomorrow morning comes early. We leave Gloria Dei at 5:45 am and our leader Gayle Shearer will not permit it to be a 5:46am departure. Please kept the team in your prayers and we will keep you informed through our blog.
