Tuesday: Day Two (Afternoon)

Afternoon was painting at House #1 (Carlos & Rosa), so while the women painted, the men were going to build the bunkbeds.  So Ed asked where the design was so they can figure out how to build, but they were told that they had to go measure.  So they went to a home built in past trips and just went in and measured the bunk beds.  As you can see Ed "Wild Man' Shearer rode over to the home on the back of Necco's bike.  The guys said it felt strange just coming over unannounced to "measure".  Ed went straight to the task and was measuring as someone helped smash a tiny scorpion in the window.  Ed didn't even notice.

There is a few pictures above of the painters with the mint green "termite" paint.  Even the women of the house and the owner's sister joined us in painting.  I tried to keep the children out of the paint as they were barefoot but I still got a chance to get "green". ;)  I climbed into the small gap by the road to get the spots only a paintbrush could get.  We were able to build both sets of bunkbeds and paint two coats of paint on the house before we headed back to the hotel.

Today, Samantha and I got to ride into town on a Tuc Tuc!  They are small "taxis" that drive people all over town.  We got to ride a music pumping, tinted window "ride".  We had a blast!

Now it's time for bed for this blogger.  I can't believe all we've gotten done in two day's time.  More adventures for tomorrow...
